Overview

TSOA (The Story of Ancients) is a 3D Fantasy RPG built in Unity that follows a group of friends pulled into an ancient conflict far beyond anything they were prepared for. When a relic of impossible age falls into their hands, the world they knew begins to unravel — and something old and dangerous stirs beneath it.

TSOA blends real-time combat with deep character relationships, an expansive open world layered with lore, and a story that takes faith, friendship, and sacrifice seriously. The world is rich with ancient ruins, living magic systems, and civilizations that rose and fell long before human memory.

This is a big game — ambitious in scope and deeply personal in story. It is currently in early development, and every design decision is being made with care, intention, and prayer.

When Kael, Sera, Rin, Tobias, and Mira stumble onto an artifact buried beneath their hometown, they expect answers. What they get instead is the attention of every ancient power that has been waiting for it to resurface — and a journey that will take them to the edges of a world far older and stranger than any of them imagined.

TSOA is a story about ordinary people doing extraordinary things — not because they were chosen, but because they chose. The weight of that distinction shapes every chapter.

Beneath the adventure, beneath the magic and the combat, it is a story about what we owe each other — and what it looks like when five very different people refuse to let the world win.

We didn’t go looking for this. But here we are. And I’d rather face it with you than run from it alone.

Core Pillars

The World is Alive

TSOA's world has been breathing for ten thousand years before the player arrives. Ruins have histories. Languages have roots. Factions have wounds. Every detail serves a world that existed before the story began.

Friendship is the Power

No single character is capable of what the group is. The game's deepest abilities, its most important story moments, and its hardest choices all require trust between companions. Relationships are the actual resource system.

Magic Has Meaning

The magic system is rooted in the world's theology. Power is not neutral. Where it comes from matters. The deeper a character goes into any school of magic, the more the world begins to reveal what that power is connected to.

Scale Without Emptiness

Big worlds fail when they are wide but shallow. Every corner of TSOA's map will have purpose — a story reason to exist, a reward for exploration that is more than loot. If a place is in the game, it earns its place.
